Nice and sweet rice pudding here
Serves 6, prep time: about 40 mins.
- 1 1/4 cups rice
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 orange
Remove zest from orange and lemon using the smallest holes on grater.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter. Add the rice, milk, sugar, salt, orange zest, lemon zest.
Cook over medium heat for 20 -25 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and cook 5 minutes more, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and serve the pudding in small bowls garnished with cinnamon and orange slices.
