- 6 apples
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons food coloring (red)
- 6 wooden skewers
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Wash and dry the apples carefully (make sure that no water remains on the apples).Remove the stems and stick the skewers firmly in the stem ends.
In a medium saucepan combine the water, sugar, corn syrup and food coloring and cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes.
Get the apples, dip them into the sugar mixture, and allow them to set on the baking sheet
Garnish on top with sugar and leave to set.
